{"id":9130,"date":"2023-02-14T14:54:24","date_gmt":"2023-02-14T19:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.elizabethfultonphotography.com\/blog\/?p=9130"},"modified":"2023-02-14T14:54:28","modified_gmt":"2023-02-14T19:54:28","slug":"be-in-the-photos-ottawa-family-photographer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.elizabethfultonphotography.com\/blog\/be-in-the-photos-ottawa-family-photographer\/","title":{"rendered":"Valentine&#8217;s Day &#8211; A reminder to be in photos!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<span data-id=\"2dc42f37-d62b-4fad-a4ce-7a11457582a8\" class=\"pp-embedded-gallery \">[pp_gallery id=\"9132\" style-id=\"52b02a43-34eb-42fa-9389-c117f715bd08\"]<\/span>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong>Valentine&#8217;s Day &#8211; A reminder to be in photos!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:67px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">On Valentine\u2019s Day, I\u2019m always reminded of a little trick I do during family sessions, despite the protestations, which I hear every single time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cNo, no, no we don\u2019t need one of just us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cThe kids are the cute ones, we\u2019re just background props!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cWe haven\u2019t had a couple shot since our wedding, when I was much slimmer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201cAre you kidding, a close up? Of the two of us? I\u2019ve aged ten years since the last ones!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:33px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">And yet, I still insist that we go forward with couple photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">It\u2019s not because I\u2019m a hopeless romantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Quite the opposite: I am a hopeful pragmatist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">I hope you\u2019ll never need photos to stand in for a hand to hold. And I believe that most of you never will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">But I like a good insurance policy. Even if you never display the photos, or you pop them up on Facebook and don\u2019t think about them again\u2026I want to be sure all my clients have every possible configuration of their family in full colour, or black and white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">There isn\u2019t a right or wrong way to pose. There isn\u2019t a perfect shot. You may love the result. You may not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">But no matter, because the point is that you have the photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Valentine\u2019s Day is hard for some because it can be a reminder of love lost. For others, it\u2019s just another day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">For me, it\u2019s an opportunity to put down on paper the importance of taking a moment to celebrate your relationship, separate from the kids, and the dog, the mortgage and all the inevitable responsibilities that pile up\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">And remind you why you embarked on this journey together in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">SAY CHEESE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:47px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">If you want to be in more photos together, please consider reaching out for a family session!
