Read more:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">I often hear people say things like, \u201cNow that my kids are growing up, I don\u2019t need family photos\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">And it\u2019s funny, because I couldn\u2019t disagree more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Have you noticed that when your kids were tiny, you took snaps of them daily? Everything they did was adorable and original. You\u2019ve got candid snaps of milestones, and likely a few family pictures taken by a pro to mark special occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">But as kids grow older, and they change a bit less each year, it\u2019s easy to let family photos fall by the wayside. To tell yourself that your pre-teens or high schoolers aren\u2019t interested in posing for photos, and let it go. The problem is, time goes by so quickly, and if we don\u2019t stop to prioritize capturing those years, suddenly we\u2019re left with a photo album that feels sorely incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Life doesn\u2019t stop with early childhood and pick up again with a wedding. In fact, tomorrow isn\u2019t guaranteed, so taking a moment to celebrate today is the best insurance policy against regret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">You even might find, as I have, that taking the time choose a photo shoot outfit with your older kids is just the excuse you need to spend a little extra time together. And in that process, you might learn new things and open new avenues for communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Young people are ever evolving, and family photos serve as a time capsule of our children\u2019s stages of life. Have you ever poured over old pictures and giggled at the hair styles and clothing choices? Or remarked on a family resemblance you\u2019d never noticed before? Or taken a moment to compare baby photos with a more recent picture, and marvelled at how \u201cgrown up\u201d he or she looks? When we take family photos, we aren\u2019t just recording a moment. We\u2019re leaving our kids a legacy of their childhood, and we\u2019re giving them a reminder they can hold on too long after they grow up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">They say a picture is worth 1000 words.
