Ottawa Family Photographer – A snow-filled family portrait

Can I just start by saying how much I love a light dusting of snow?  It’s gorgeous and to me, it spells holiday.  In Ottawa it snows and let’s face it, if I were to be afraid of photographing in the snow I’d be in trouble.  Embracing the snow and how beautiful it can be is what I do – and thankfully, so too did the boys I worked with this morning.  It’s fun, right?  Snow is fluffy, soft, tastes good if you’re so inclined and it’s looks gosh darn pretty in photographs.  I just love it and luckily for me, I live in the right city for it.

This morning we were expecting some snow on the ground but what we got was much more.  We got mini snow squalls during the shoot!  It was crazy and rather unexpected.  I thought for sure the kids would be bothered and want some shelter, but not these guys. They were great.

This is my fourth – or maybe fifth time photographing this family.  When we first met, little Tristan was just a tiny baby.  And now look at him? He’s 2.5 years old! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them so many times and can tell you, I just love it. They’re such a wonderful group to work with….already, I can’t wait to see them again 🙂

Here are a few of their sneak peeks!
