I just love working with former clients to capture milestones in their lives, or the lives of their children. Â The other day I had the great pleasure of doing wedding portraits for this fabulous and amazing family. Â They are so much fun to work with and strikingly gorgeous! Ottawa Wedding Photographer – Kyle and Meghan

As you may have noticed, I don’t photograph a lot of weddings. It’s not because I don’t like them or don’t want to, it’s just the way things fell into place with my schedule. Â The wedding of Kyle and Meghan was gorgeous, beyond gorgeous even. When I first heard it was going to be a golf course wedding I had visions of open green spaces and dodging golf balls between photos but this was not even nearly the case. Â We were surrounded by gorgeous trees, flowers and pathways. It was perfect.

I had a wonderful time with this beautiful couple and am now wondering if I should do more weddings! Â I really hope that these photos are treasured and of course, that everyone reading this blog loves them. It’s not my area of expertise, so go easy on me, k!?!

Congratulations again to Meghan and Kyle. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day.

Ottawa Engagement Photographer – Meghan + Kyle

In August, this gorgeous couple is getting married and I’m going to photograph their wedding. I don’t do many weddings, but when I do I always have a great time. They’re so different than what I am accustomed to – and give me a new challenge for the day. Â To help prepare for this couple’s big day, we met for an engagement session. Â It was fun to work with them and now I cannot wait until their big day! Only two more months to go

Ottawa Wedding Photographer â€“ Chris + Jana

Yesterday I photographed my first wedding of 2011. It was a fabulous day in Ottawa for a wedding. Mild, snow covered and simply put, seasonally beautiful. Of course, I wasn’t wearing a sleeveless dress so perhaps the wedding party has a few other thoughts on the weather – but even still, I think we’ll all agree that yesterday made for a perfect wedding day

The big event took place at The Mariott in downtown Ottawa. This hotel is a wonderful spot – central, alongside the picturesque cobblestone Sparks Street and convenient for travellers. It made for a wonderful photo session and with any luck, photos that this couple with treasure for years to come.

As many of you know, I don’t photograph a lot of weddings. My forte is in the family, maternity and newborn photography area but each year I like to do just a few – to branch out, try something new and of course, challenge myself. Â Yesterday was fun. A lot of fun. Â And, I’m so glad that I get to do a few each year because it’s certainly a treat I enjoy.

Jana and Chris: Congratulations on your wedding day. You’re a beautiful couple and your wedding was nothing short of wonderful. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special day!

And because it is winter after all, we decided after a while to take the session into the parking garage for a bit of fun. I love how rugged these photos turned out and where the lights fall on Chris + Jana and the shadows on the party. Â Mysterious and captivating.
